How to mix & match

01 / HOOP EARRINGS
Two ways to start.
For selected detachable styles, remove the pearl drops to wear a simple pair of hoops. Add the original drops back when you want a little more movement and colour.
Stella Tahitian Pearl Hoops and Violet Baroque Pearl Earrings both offer these two looks. You can also explore other compatible pearl drops or charms; additional components are sold separately.
- Take the earrings off and lay them on a soft cloth.
- Open the hoop at its intended closure and gently slide off the removable drop.
- Add a compatible charm if desired, close the hoop and check that it is secure before wearing.

Give your pendant a new setting.
A detachable pendant can change the feel of more than one necklace. Try it on a fine chain for a light look, or on another compatible chain for a different length and texture.
The Orbit Tahitian Pearl Necklace has a removable pendant that can also be worn on a compatible hoop. Its necklace includes one pendant, so this option creates a single accent earring—not a matching pair.
Use the pendant’s intended opening or slide it off an open chain end, according to its fitting. Check that the bail clears the chain or hoop and that the closure secures fully.

Start with a chain you love. Aurum necklaces and bracelets, and the Circle Clasp Long Chain Necklace, have opening clasps that let you add, remove and change compatible charms or pendants. Wear them bare one day; add a pearl or a touch of colour the next.

Circle Clasp Long Chain Necklace
Let the 65 cm chain fall over a knit or open collar. Wear the circle clasp as a clean detail, then add a compatible pearl pendant or charm for a new focal point.
Three easy looks: wear the chain alone, choose one pendant as a focal point, or mix a few compatible charms. Move a favourite detail between your necklace and bracelet when it fits both clasps comfortably.
How do I add a charm or pendant?
Take the jewelry off and lay it on a soft cloth. Open its intended link or circle clasp, slide on the charm’s attachment loop, then close the clasp fully. Check that the attachment moves freely and the clasp fastens securely; never force a fitting or open a fixed chain link.
Necklaces and bracelets are sold individually. Charms, pendants and extra clasps shown are sold separately. Choose attachments that fit the clasp and keep the total weight comfortable.

Place a smaller pearl beside a larger one for a personal, asymmetric composition.

Try a larger centre pearl with smaller companions, or keep the arrangement deliberately uneven.
How the thread-through chain works.

Lay out your pieces.
Take the necklace off and work over a soft tray. Choose pearls specifically made to fit this chain’s needle end and chain width.

Release the needle end.
Hold the retaining bead and gently release the needle end according to the chain’s fitting. Do not pull on the pearl, twist the chain or force a tight fitting.

Thread your pearls.
Guide the needle through each pearl’s drilled hole and slide the pearl gently onto the chain. Arrange the smaller and larger pearls in your preferred order.

Secure and check.
Return the needle end through its retaining bead, adjust the fit and secure the clasp. Check that every fitting is seated before wearing. Stop if the bead no longer holds securely.
This guide describes the thread-through necklace shown. Other necklaces and earrings may use different fittings.
Start with white freshwater pearls.
The Petite Pearl Thread Necklace includes one chain and one small white freshwater pearl. Additional pearls are sold separately. Check the current size choices on the individual pearl product page before ordering.
Before combining pieces.
Will any pearl or charm fit?
No. For a thread-through necklace, both the drilled hole and the end fitting must fit. For a pendant or hoop charm, check the bail opening, closure and weight. Pearl diameter alone does not tell you whether the pieces are compatible.
Can every hoop be worn without its pearl?
No. Some pearl earrings have fixed settings. Only remove a drop when the product confirms a detachable design. Never open a fixed jump ring or pull a pearl away from its setting.
Are extra pearls and charms included?
Check “What’s included” on the product page. Additional pearls, charms, chains or a second pendant are separate purchases unless specifically included in the selected product.
How many pieces can I add?
Keep the arrangement light and balanced. Do not force a fitting or overload a fine chain or hoop. If a closure strains or an adjustable bead slips, remove the extra pieces and contact us.
